WHY WOMEN AND GIRLS?

Sakhi Kendra is an organization that focuses on empowering women and girls in India. We believe that women and girls are predominantly affected by poverty and discrimination in our society. They often suffer exploitation, abuse and violations of their rights, entitlements and dignity. They also face barriers and challenges when they want to access and control resources that can improve their lives.

Over many years of fighting for gender equality, we at Sakhi Kendra have learned that women have the potential to transform their families and communities. When they are equipped with the proper resources and awareness, they can overcome poverty, marginalisation and social injustice. They can also contribute to the development and well-being of their society. That is why we are committed to supporting and empowering women and girls through our various programs and initiatives.
